Rapanui – The place where abuse and mistreatment of the first nation people of Rapanui
This must stop the disregard and disrespect of the descendants of the Ancient Ones of Rapanui.
How can people feel welcome to the place where there is inhospitable acts being done to the people of the land the first nation people of Rapanui of the Polynesian Triangle.

ask your ancestors to help all of you.our lands were taken by the u.s. govt. in 1848, but our people are still are alive and traditional to the old ways (not christian).in 1989, we sent a tribal policy to the u.s. govt. warning what was going to take place in the future, well the future is here and it is happening, we have knocked the u.s. govt on its ass with the economy. pray to your ancestors,be strong.

I wish to express my personal solidarity with the Rapa Nui activists who are legitimately expressing grievances against a bullying colonial power. People around the world should understand that Rapa Nui is not just a place of unique statues and ancient archaeology but a place where the bloodline of the moai makers continues. In the past the island suffered greatly from exploitative visitors – sheep farmers, a Peruvian mining company, whalers – and that exploitation continues to this day. Via blogging, I am telling as many people as I can – all around the world – just what is going on in Rapa Nui. It is the opposite of the joy the world felt when those thirty nine miners were liberated in faraway Chile. Indigenous people of Rapa Nui, remember your heritage! Do not cower! Stand upright and be brave! Tell the world!

    kia kaha Rapanui whanauka

  11. Ben on 2010/12/12 at 4:59 am

Chile was a safe haven for the Nazis like most of South America after WW2 so it is of no surprise Pinochet’s legacy is alive and kicking. Chile you will be held to account and is further reason why Rapanui will one day be independent. Remember Argentina’s ass kicking, that will be your fate.

  12. Rita Morrison on 2010/12/17 at 4:36 am

Kia kaha Rapanui. Chile does not have the greatest human rights reputation, take care.

How can we take action, give international attention to this matter and stop dictators colonising and terrorising our neighbours. Words are great but what can we do to get the Chilean authorities out, they have not authority and are not the indigenous people of the land!!

  15. Moheka Williams on 2011/01/21 at 9:54 pm

I hope a huge earthquake hits Chile and destroys that country all the soldiers will have to go home to fix up their country. I’m praying to Ruaumoko now to shake Chile with a 9.9 earthquake 10 kilometers deep. That will get Chile off Rapanui and back to their own country.

Rapa Nui is a very beautiful island but they were blinded by the chile’ s government no freedoom of speech for the natives. The Natives always had to listen to chile but little rapa nui but alot of spanish.. Always chile was taking control of the rapa nui people the money goes to the chileans not the natives . The time is to take action get rapa nui as a country away from chile . always protest against chile they brain wash the rapa nui people so they need to be free and away from this treatment. Chile does not work with the rapa nui people at all alway a promise does not make it. I’am married to native my prayers are for the hito family to win and make rapa nui free.

    Iorana:
Good news that the judge has suspended the trespass trial pending investigation into true ownership of the land. A positive step on this journey.

We were on Rapa Nui Feb 4, 5, 6 and stopped by the community dinner that was held across the road from the property. Stay strong, family and friends, we send you support and strength from Canada. The warmth and generosity of Rapanuians is held in our hearts.

AND SHAME ON YOU SCHEISS FAMILLY OR CORP. YOU SUCK !!!
